SIA Group ends year with carryings up to 39m
Overall passenger numbers increase almost 13% over 2023
The Singapore Airlines Group’s annual passenger numbers hit 39 million last year after a strong December.
Annual carryings by SIA and Scoot rose by 12.7% over 2023 levels.
The sister carriers saw December carryings rise by 7.1% year-on-year to reach a monthly group record of almost 3.6 million passengers.
SIA flew more than 2.4 million passengers in the month and Scoot 1.1 million.
The overall passenger load factor came in at 88.5%, with SIA and Scoot posting monthly levels of 88.4% and 89.2% respectively as overall capacity increased by more than 7%.
Scoot started service to Phu Quoc in Vietnam, while SIA resumed direct seasonal services to Sapporo in Japan.
The group ended the year with a passenger network covering 129 destinations in 36 countries and territories. SIA served 80 destinations, while Scoot served 72 destinations.
