Social media expert joins Not Just Travel
Amy-Louise Weitz to help create ‘scroll-stopping’ campaigns
Not Just Travel has signalled further expansion in social media for the homeworking brand and its members with a new recruit.
Amy-Louise Weitz joins the business as social media manager, having worked in social media and training at cosmetic brands MAC and Benefit, before moving onto experience day brands Buy-A-Gift and Red Letter Days.
She has been at the forefront of standalone campaigns with wide reach and engagement, including a UK-wide digital treasure hunt for Buy-A-Gift.
Weitz will not only manage a multi-department team across marketing, BDMs, training and sales, but will also introduce a comprehensive training programme tailored for consultants with all levels of social media experience.
She said: “When social media is your shop window you need to be the face of the business.
“My role is all about up-skilling the travel consultants so they can independently create their own strategies to create new opportunities and discussions that ultimately drive sales.
“Our team delivered training during a recent NJT retreat in Cyprus and saw within minutes how consultants were implementing what they learned with their new skill sets. As a result, bookings quickly rolled in.”
She added: ”I look forward to helping them create scroll-stopping campaigns – both as individuals, and together as part of the Not Just Travel brand.
Steve Witt, co-founder of Not Just Travel and recruitment arm The Travel Franchise, added: “Amy-Louise Weitz is as creative, dynamic and vibrant as the social media world she inhabits.
“She has many skills including content creation, training and strategic planning. Our consultants have already benefited from her knowledge, and with the roll-out of our expansive training programme, the effect of their communication skills will be amplified across the UK.”
