Taylor Swift to Make Feature Directorial Debut for Searchlight Pictures

The 11-time Grammy winner will make her feature directorial debut with Searchlight Pictures. Variety reports that the “Anti-Hero” singer also wrote an original script for the pic. Plot details, casting, and title are currently under wraps.
Searchlight presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield described Swift as “a once in a generation artist and storyteller” and said that it’s a “genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey.”
“Swift recently became the only solo artist ever to be honored with two best direction awards at the MTV VMAs for her work on ‘All Too Well: The Short Film’ and ‘The Man,'” per the source. She’s been making the rounds on the the festival circuit for the former, with screenings at Tribeca and Toronto International Film Festival.
“Cats” and “Amsterdam” are among Swift’s acting credits. Her latest album, “Midnights,” was released in October. She recently made history as the first artist to claim the entire Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. The chart-toppers many hits include “Shake It Off,” “Blank Space,” and “You Belong With Me.”
