The Presidential Elections Committee (PEC) has issued certificates of eligibility (COE) to three presidential hopefuls today (August 18).

Out of the six people who have submitted their applications for the COE, former GIC chief investment officer Ng Kok Song, former senior minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam and former chief executive of NTUC Income Tan Kin Lian are now eligible to run for Singapore’s upcoming election.

Harvey Norman Ossia founder George Goh, however, was unsuccessful in obtaining the COE, though ELD did not disclose the reasons for the rejection.
