Jabra Elite 8 Active Gen 2 Wireless Earbuds

The Jabra Elite 8 Active Gen 2 wireless earbuds are best suited for workouts and exercise, as they are designed for durability with an IP68 rating that makes them sweatproof and waterproof—well ahead of most competitors that only offer IPX4 protection. Plus, they come in a rugged, IP54-rated case that is resistant to dust and splashes. And, according to this PCMag review, you can even stream audio from the charging case using the LC3 codec with the LE Audio package, although the earbuds themselves don’t support it. This feature is especially convenient if you frequently connect to car stereo systems or gym gear while you work out. Available in matte finishes in black, coral, navy, and olive color options, these earbuds are currently on sale for $179.99, down from $229.99.

Set-up and customization are offered via the companion app, but some features like wind noise reduction and ANC control toggles are reportedly a bit tricky to find. That said, once you find them, they're pretty easy to use. Additionally, they offer hands-free support for Google Assistant, though you'll need to press the control button on either earbud to enable other voice assistants. They also allow you to connect to two devices simultaneously, which is a nice touch.

Jabra claims that the Elite 8 Active earbuds will give you about eight hours of playback with ANC on, or up to 14 hours if you turn it off. Of course, actual battery life might vary based on your volume and usage. To charge it, you can either use the USB-C cable they include in the package or use wireless charging. As for noise cancellation, the Elite 8 Active Gen 2 does offer it, but reviews mention it can be a bit inconsistent. If you're really after top-tier noise cancellation in your earbuds, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds at $299 might be a better fit.
