Tui Care Foundation backs tourism recovery programme
Partnership will support 315 businesses in Egypt, Mexico, South Africa and Kenya
Tui Care Foundation has partnered with an organisation that supports entrepreneurs to launch a joint Tourism Recovery Programme.
The initiative with enpact will help 315 tourism businesses in Egypt, Mexico, South Africa and Kenya.
The young entrepreneurs being supported will receive six months’ professional training, business mentoring and financial backing.
Applications are open until June 20, for micro, small, and medium-sized tourism enterprises.
The programme has the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals at its core and aims to help leadership, resilience, sustainability, innovation, and digital transformation. Additionally, the aim is to create an international network of tourism businesses as the sector emerges from the pandemic.
The mentoring programme provides tailored guidance through individual sessions with Tui experts and other global tourism professionals.
The initiative will draw on the experience of the earlier Covid-19 Relief Programme for Tourism, which helped 352 participants from 150 tourism businesses in Mexico, Kenya, Indonesia and Jordan.
