Virgin Atlantic expands codeshare with Indian carrier
Partnership with IndiGo adds 18 destinations to network
Virgin Atlantic has expanded its codeshare with IndiGo, opening up an extra 18 destinations throughout India.
Customers can book one ticket which allows them to connect easily to India and beyond from destinations such as Varanasi, Srinagar, Goa Mopa and Lucknow through Delhi and Mumbai.
The expanded partnership will incorporate Goa’s second airport, Goa Mopa, providing travellers with more options for the popular destination.
With the extra 18 destinations, the codeshare partnership with the budget Indian airline now covers 34 destinations.
Alex McEwan, Virgin Atlantic’s country manager for South Asia, said: “We are excited to more than double the number of destinations available in our codeshare partnership with IndiGo.
“This offers our customers even more choice when travelling to India. By combining IndiGo’s vast network with Virgin Atlantic’s three daily services between the UK and India, we offer a range of connections to and from India’s most popular destinations.”
Destinations added in the expanded codeshare are: Bhubaneshwar, Bhopal, Guwahati, Gwalior, Bagdogra, Allahabad, Jammu, Leh, Ranchi, Jodhpur, Jabalpur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Patna, Raipur, Surat, Srinagar, Varanasi and Goa Mopa.
