Welsh coach tour operator ceases trading after 27 years
Cardiff-based Leisure Time blames pandemic restrictions
Cardiff-based coach tour operator Leisure Time (Wales) Limited has ceased trading after 27 years in business.
A statement on its website said: “It is with great sadness that after 27 years, we have to announce that Leisure Time (Wales) Limited has ceased trading with immediate effect.
“The impact of the pandemic restrictions was too much for the company to bear in the end as we have not been able to recover from all that has happened over the past two years.”
The statement thanked customers, staff and suppliers for their support over the years, and said there are discussions about new ownership.
Customers are advised to check with Abta about making a cliam for a refund.
Abta’s website says “further advice for customers will be made available here on Monday 28 March”.
The Leisure Time statement says creditors will be contacted and asks suppliers who need more information to contact Doyle Davies, a Cardiff-based insolvency practitioner.
According to the operator’s website, it offered holidays across the UK including Christmas and New Year trips, family breaks and themed getaways.
