World of Hyatt Private Sale 25% Off: Why You Should & Should Not Take This Deal

You can save 25% off room rates at participating Hyatt hotels worldwide during the World of Hyatt Private Sale. Saving 25% sounds great, but here’s why you should and should not take this deal.

Hyatt’s Private sale is valid for bookings made now through March 22, 2022 for stays from April 1, 2022 through May 31, 2022. You have to use booking code: PRIVATE.

Registration is not required. But you have to be a member of World of Hyatt to take advantage of this deal.

This offer is valid at over 975 participating hotels like:

Alila Villas UlutwatuAndaz SavannahGrand Hyatt Baha MarHotel du LouvreHyatt Centric Milan CentraleHyatt Regency ChicagoPark Hyatt BangkokThe Seabird ResortThompson Buckhead

Unfortunately, there’s no list of participating hotels so you have to spend time searching for the hotel you want.

To book this offer, you have to book online, call World of Hyatt, or via travel agent like me 😉.

What Hotels Are Not Accepting the 25% Discount

You can’t use the 25% off discount at World of Hyatt partner hotels:

Free Breakfast and More

The Member Private Sale offer includes free breakfast for all guests and a 20% off food and beverage purchases for two night stays at World of Hyatt hotel stays in Africa, Europe, Middle East and Southwest Asia.

Stays at Hyatt hotels in Asia Pacific get a 10% discount on food and beverage purchases with no minimum stay requirement.

The food and beverage discount only apples to restaurant charges. Alcohol, room service, specialty restaurants, and venues operated by third parties are exempt. This is a huge, because if you stay at Grand Hyatt Baha Mar, many restaurants are not owned by Hyatt. So no discount for you!

Pro-tip: Breakfast is not included in this offer at Asia Pacific hotels.

Who Should Take Advantage of This Deal

If you aren’t a Globalist, you may want to consider taking advantage of this deal.

If you are planning to stay at any of the participating hotels in Europe, Africa, Southwest Asia, or the Middle East and you typically eat breakfast at your hotel, this deal could save you money. Because you get free breakfast for all guests.

But you have to do the math.

Who Shouldn’t Take Advantage of This Deal

The Hyatt Private Sale is not a great deal if your plans frequently change.

This offer is a prepaid offer. If you have to cancel your stay you have 72 hours to cancel to receive a refund.

Stays at Asia Pacific hotels require a one-night non-refundable deposit. So if your stay is only for a single night, you lose your money.

Some Globalist benefits like early check in and late checkout don’t apply for stays booked with this offer. And there are blackout dates.

Unlike other World of Hyatt promotions, you can’t apply this offer to existing bookings.

The World of Hyatt 25% Off Member Private Sale is for cash bookings. Points and Points + Cash bookings do not qualify for this promotion. So if you solely travel hack your Hyatt stays, this offer won’t work for you.

Maximizing This Offer

Unfortunately, there’s no way to maximize this offer.

Because you have to use code PRIVATE in the offer field, you can’t stack it with a Hyatt Prive rate or any other discounts that require an offer code.

This also means it’s not stackable with Hyatt Leverage rates. Hyatt Leverage rates are a 25% discount perk with the World of Hyatt Business card.

But you can stack it with the current Bonus Journeys promotion at participating hotels.

Conclusion

You can save 25% at participating World of Hyatt hotels during the Hyatt Private Sale when you use offer code PRIVATE.

The code is valid for rooms booked now through March 22, 2022 for stays from April 1, 2022 through May 31, 2022.

Rates are prepaid, cash only, and in some circumstances non-refundable.

I love a good sale, with emphasis on the word good. But sometimes a discount isn’t really a discount.

Sometimes rates during these types of offers are higher. So you need to compare prices before you book.
