Alison Earnshaw to leave World Travel Holdings UK

Alison Earnshaw, the managing director of cruise specialist agency World Travel Holdings UK, is to leave the business later this year.

Earnshaw has worked for the company, which operates the Cruise118, SixStarCruises and RiverVoyages brands, for 17 years, and said she was stepping down and away from a full-time role for personal reasons.

An exact date for her departure has not been released but she said she will support the business with the appointment of, and transition to, a new managing director before leaving. A recruitment process is underway.

Earnshaw, who held product and commercial roles before taking the helm in 2018, said: ‘I’ve been part of a huge success story at WTH UK and am very proud to have led the business for the last seven years and of our many accomplishments, achievements and awards over the years since we started trading in 2008.

“I have been privileged to work with some exceptional people internally and externally during my time at WTH and will be leaving the business in good hands with the strongest executive and management teams we’ve ever had. I have no doubt the business will continue to go from strength to strength.”

Jeff Tolkin, co-chairman and chief executive of WTH UK parent company World Travel Holdings, said: “Alison’s exceptional leadership and impactful contributions over the last seven years have been key factors in the remarkable growth of our cruise business in the UK.

“I am confident in the leadership team she has built and grateful that she will be an integral part of the transition to a new managing director. We look forward to continued success in our UK division and wish Alison all the best.”

Earnshaw has spent her entire career in travel, previously working for Thomas Cook and MyTravel.
