America’s Got Talent acts to appear on new Legend of the Seas cruise ship
Stars from the television programme will perform for Royal Caribbean passengers
Stars from America’s Got Talent will take to the stage at sea for the first time with Royal Caribbean this summer.
The cruise line is set to debut the new show from August on its newest Icon class ship, Legend of the Seas.
Royal Caribbean hasn’t yet revealed the specific acts, but said it will feature performers from the Got Talent suite of programmes and include acrobats, magicians and musicians.
Christine Coachman, vice president of entertainment at Royal Caribbean, said: “As one of the most acclaimed entertainment franchises on television, America’s Got Talent perfectly reflects our commitment to bold, world-class experiences that will truly wow our audiences on Legend of the Seas.”
Erica Gadecki, executive vice president of partnership solutions for America’s Got Talent production company Fremantle, added: “We’re thrilled to bring Got Talent to an all-new at sea experience as we set sail for the first time with Royal Caribbean.
“We can’t wait to showcase incredible acts from around the world on a brand-new stage on board, creating an unforgettable experience for fans.”
There will be plenty more entertainment for guests when the new cruise ship launches in July.
A revamped version of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory musical will debut on board and passengers can also watch deck-defying high divers, aerialists, robots and dancers in the AquaTheater.
The ship has more than 20 bars, lounges and live music spots. Activities include listening to music at jazz bar Lou’s, sing-offs at Dueling Pianos and an immersive dining experience at Royal Railway – Legend Station.
Legend of the Seas will be the first Icon class ship to debut in Europe, sailing from Barcelona and Rome in July before it heads to the Caribbean in November.
