Atas reveals annual conference will be in Liverpool
Touring and adventure event will be on October 10-11
The Association of Touring and Adventure Suppliers (Atas) has announced that its annual conference will take place in Liverpool later this year.
The two-day event will be held in the Rum Warehouse at Titanic Hotel Liverpool on October 10-11.
Claire Brighton, Atas account director, said: “I’m delighted to unveil the Rum Warehouse as the venue for this year’s annual conference.
“It is a wonderfully renovated 1950s warehouse, with great dockside views and superb conference facilities.
“The location at Stanley Dock Liverpool is just minutes away from the city centre and Liverpool’s world-famous attractions.
“Again, Atas will be largely funding the cost for agents to attend, with just a small accommodation contribution needed, starting at £50 per person for a twin-share room.”
Titanic Hotel LiverpoolShe said the scope of the conference has been expanded with the addition of a ‘New to Touring and Adventure’ workshop on the first afternoon (October 10) designed to help first-time conference attendees to learn the basics of touring, how to sell and how to attract customers in the sector.
That will be followed by a welcome event in the evening, with a Destination Showcase sponsored by the Greek National Tourism Organisation.
The second day will feature informative and fun conference sessions with guest speakers and top tips from suppliers during the morning.
The afternoon will offer the chance for agents to visit the trade fair and meet representatives from Atas members.
The event will end with an evening drinks reception, Atas Recognition Awards and dinner.
Brighton commented: “We had such great feedback from last year’s conference in the British Motor Museum in Warwick, so we know how useful the event is – both for agents and members such as operators and tourist boards.
“We’re planning to make this year’s conference even bigger and better than before so we can cater for the rising demand in the trade for this lucrative sector.
“Registration will open in early April so watch this space for details.”
