Cox & Kings adds three new tours to latest worldwide brochure
Operator creates two Italy itineraries and Portuguese pousadas holiday
Cox & Kings’ latest worldwide brochure has three new tours and four tailormade suggested itineraries in new destinations, with departures running to the end of 2026.
With Italy remaining “a firm favourite”, the escorted tours operator has created two new specialist-led tours – one in Piedmont, with food writer and chef Valentina Harris, and the other in Sicily, exploring the island’s history and cuisine.
The new Portuguese Pousadas tour includes accommodation in heritage buildings and combines Unesco-listed sites with wine tasting and a boat ride along the Douro River
As part of its tailor-made service, Cox & Kings has expanded its offerings to new destinations including Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Scandinavia, Iceland and the Faroe Islands.
These tailor-made trips offer excursions such as the Tozeur Oasis in the Tunisian Sahara to the Flåmsbana Railway in Norway.
Jennifer Charlton, trade sales and business development senior vice-president at Cox & Kings, said: “The latest additions to our brochure represent the quintessential Cox & Kings experience – small-group tours designed to immerse travellers in local cultures through genuine interactions and off-the-beaten-track exploration.”
In Latin America and India, best-sellers include the Train to Machu Picchu, Natural Splendours of Costa Rica and Golden Triangle and Shimla tours.
Off-the-beaten-track tours such as Across the Southern Caucasus and Uzbekistan: Heart of Central Asia holidays are “hugely popular”, said the operator.
The number of solo travellers is increasing, and they now make up more than a quarter of Cox & Kings’ group tour clients.
There are four dedicated ‘Solo Travellers’ tours which are free of single supplements: Treasures of Peru, Panama & Costa Rica Experience, Exotic India and Splendours of Sri Lanka.
