Ahead of CES 2024, Dell revealed that it will retire the Dell XPS 15 and Dell XPS 17, and that it will replace the popular laptops with the Dell XPS 14 and Dell XPS 16. Following this announcement, Dell slashed the prices of top-tier configurations of the outgoing laptops, with the Dell XPS 15 down to $2,299 from $2,799 for $500 in savings, and the Dell XPS 17 down to $3,049 from $3,749 for $700 in savings. You’re going to have to hurry if you want to buy the last models of either device in these laptop deals though, as we’re not sure how much stock is left before they’re all gone.

If you're a fan of Apple's MacBooks but don't necessarily want to get into the Apple ecosystem, then Dell has the answer for you in the form of the Dell XPS lineup of laptops. Ranging from 13 inches to 17 inches, they have a lot of various configurations to pick from, giving you a lot more granular control over what you buy. Even better, the Dell XPS lineup is much cheaper than most MacBooks, so you won't be spending as much for the premium, and there are usually quite a few good deals on them on top of that. Dell XPS 13 -- $599, was $799
The Dell XPS 13 is a great option if you want something that's really small and really light, and for the price it's going for, it's almost a steal. Under the hood, it has a mid-range Intel Core i5-1230U CPU that's perfect for productivity and most day-to-day tasks and a perfect companion. That said, the 8GB of RAM is a bit on the lower end, although not a dealbreaker at these prices, which is about what we'd see for a thin and light laptop. As for the screen, it is 13.4 inches and runs a 1920x1200 resolution, which means that it's small and perfect for carrying around to do your work or watch content.

While there are laptop deals for high-end machines, there are also offers for cheap devices like the HP Stream 14. From an already affordable original price of $199, it's currently even cheaper at just $169 following a $30 discount from Walmart. We're not sure how much time is remaining on this bargain though, so if you think this Windows-powered laptop is perfect for your planned usage for it, don't hold back from completing your purchase. If you keep delaying the transaction, you may miss the savings.
Why you should buy the HP Stream 14
The HP Stream 14 is equipped with the Intel Celeron N4120 processor, Intel UHD Graphics 600, and 4GB of RAM. With these specifications, it won't have any chance of matching the power of the best laptops, but if you're only thinking about using the device for simple activities such as browsing the internet, typing documents, and watching streaming shows, then the HP Stream 14 may be all that you need. The laptop runs on Windows 11 Home in S Mode, so it will be very familiar for most people, and while it only comes with a 64GB eMMC, you can sign up to cloud storage services for additional space to save your files.
