Emirates has agreed to purchase more than 300,000 gallons of sustainable aviation fuel from Shell Aviation, the carrier announced Monday.

Emirates has agreed to purchase more than 300,000 gallons of sustainable aviation fuel from Shell Aviation, the carrier announced Monday. The SAF will be used at the airline's hub in Dubai, and the first delivery is expected before the end of this year. Emirates will track its SAF delivery and data through Avelia, the platform created in 2022 by Shell Aviation, Accenture and American Express Global Business Travel.
