Etihad, Ethiopian Airlines Set Joint Venture
Etihad Airways on Wednesday announced a joint venture with Ethiopian Airlines, with new flights planned between Abu Dhabi and Addis Ababa.

Etihad Airways on Wednesday announced a joint venture with Ethiopian Airlines, with new flights planned between Abu Dhabi and Addis Ababa. The partnership also will include a codeshare agreement.
Ethiopian Airways on July 15 plans to launch service between the two cities, while Etihad on Oct. 1 plans to launch daily flights on that route. Etihad's flights will operate with Boeing 777 and Airbus A350-1000 aircraft.
The JV, subject to regulatory approval, "will enable both airlines to collaborate in developing and expanding routes between the UAE and Ethiopia, as well as enhancing connectivity across their respective networks," according to Etihad.
