Etihad Resumes Beijing Service
Etihad Airways on Thursday restarted service between Abu Dhabi and Beijing for the first time since the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic, the airline announced. Regular service on the route will resume July 6.
Etihad Airways on Thursday restarted service between Abu Dhabi and Beijing for the first time since the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic, the airline announced. Regular service on the route will resume July 6.
Etihad's Thursday flight was its first to Beijing since March 23, 2020. Beginning July 6, the carrier will begin weekly Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner service between Abu Dhabi and Beijing. Flights to Beijing will depart early Wednesday, while flights to Abu Dhabi will depart Thursday evening, according to Etihad.
"As global travel restrictions rapidly ease, Etihad is equipped to further increase operations to China and meet the rising demand from travelers in both locations," Etihad CEO Tony Douglas said in a statement.
