Yes, Katy! So essentially you get at least enough people for how many recipes you want to make. I’d say at least 4 so you have at least one freezer meal a week/month. We have 12 ladies who make 6 recipes – two per station. But you could really could get by with one person/recipe. My friend is amazing. She hosts and gets everything but the meat x 12. This is where a small group might be easier to start because you would only have to multiply that can of beans by 4 or 6 instead of 12. But word has gotten out ha ha. Anyway. You could also rotate hosts. Then she’s able to buy spices in bulk and whatever we don’t use goes in a freezer meal bin for future use. She takes the total, divides it by 12 and sends us all the total via a Venmo charge.
The recipes are sent out with any necessary meat items so group members can get whatever kind of meat they like. Some sub ground turkey for beef or want their meat to be organic etc.
Someone is assigned typing out the cooking instructions and printing them out x 12. Day off, you come with your meat prepped and in a gallon ziploc. You drop it off at the designated station, go to your station and get to work. Everyone brings a basket or cooler and as recipes get finished, you deposit it in the members’ basket. We clean as we go, help those at stations with trickier recipes and usually wrap up in under two hours. You go home with your basket or cooler and stock your freezer. It’s so satisfying! We usually make crockpot friendly recipes but did marinades and stuff during the summer. We also try to have a few that you could throw straight onto the stovetop if needed. It sounds like a lot, but you will get a system quick and it becomes a game changer!
