Former Aito executive director becomes Visit USA chief executive
Kate Kenward to oversee association’s UK arm
Former Aito executive director Kate Kenward has been appointed chief executive of the Visit USA Association’s UK arm.
Kenward was executive director of Aito for 11 years before moving to the African Travel & Tourism Association 18 months ago as a board director and then as managing director for the past six months.
Her focus over almost 30 years in the industry has been on association leadership, destination marketing, PR and promotions.
Julie Greenhill, chair of Visit USA (UK), said: “This is an exciting time for Visit USA UK, we welcome Kate’s breadth of association and tourism experience and look forward to raising Visit USA UK’s profile under her leadership.
“The last two years have been particularly challenging for our membership, and it is essential we help them to maximise every opportunity.”
The chief executive role became vacant after former CEO Tracey Spuyman stepped down in Apri alongside operations and development manager Pamela Newman.
