Holland America Line to host 350 agents on ship visits
Three vessels will be at six ports around UK and Ireland
Holland America Line will be inviting 350 travel agents to visit its ships on day trips during 2023 to showcase the cruise line’s offering.
The trips will showcase three ships: Zuiderdam, Nieuw Statendam and HAL’s news vessel, Rotterdam (pictured).
During their full ship tour, agents can experience one of the dining venues and find out more about what the cruise line has to offer passengers.
The visits will take place from April to October at six ports around the UK and Ireland: Dover, South Queensferry (Edinburgh), Cobh, Belfast and Liverpool.
The ship visits will be hosted by the new dedicated UK sales and marketing team as it aims to build brand awareness of Holland America Line and develop relationships with the trade.
Sales and marketing director Karen Farndell said: “We know how important these experiences are for agents to increase brand knowledge and experience the product for themselves.
“Having the new team on board will also be a great opportunity to listen to our agent partners about their views on how the team can support with future sales growth.”
Holland America Line is marking its 150th anniversary during 2023 and will hold a celebration in Rotterdam on April 18.
To commemorate this anniversary, a transatlantic crossing will be retracing the first HAL sailing from New York and ending in Rotterdam in time for the 150th celebrations.
