Iglu Ski marks 25th anniversary and pledges AI investment

Iglu Ski celebrated its 25th anniversary while hailing the agency’s best October for eight years and pledging to further invest in technology.

More than 20 guests attended a function in Wimbledon to mark the anniversary, hosted by seven representatives from Iglu including founder Richard Downs.

Iglu Ski managing director Simon McIntyre described the 25-year mark as a “fantastic milestone”.

He added: “We’ll continue to invest in artificial intelligence and technology to make sure we deliver a great customer experience and ensure we have another fantastic 25 years at Iglu.”

During the event on Monday, McIntyre revealed that October’s sales had been the best since 2015.

Italy has been the fastest-growing destination recently, he said.

Other trends include catered chalets being more popular than hotels, and customers increasingly seeking all-inclusive trips.

McIntyre said Iglu Ski would continue to “evolve as a one-stop shop”, adding: “We can offer our customers what we think they want – which is everything.”

The development of sustainable travel will be among Iglu Ski’s focuses, McIntyre said.
