The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon has been doing the special #Hashtag segment for years now, and it always goes viral. The comedian usually sets a hashtag and calls fans on Twitter to submit any funny stories they might have that fit into the theme. Obviously, the responses are generally in the hundreds of thousands, and not all stories make it on the show for Jimmy to read aloud. That does not mean that they are not funny. The theme this time was “Mom Quotes,” and people rushed into telling the world about the strange things their mothers say and do. Some were so ridiculous that they made us laugh out loud. Check out this compilation of incredibly funny stories.
As it turns out, fans do have a “winter” and a “summer” mode
Mothers sometimes say the most incredible things to keep their children from doing something they do not want them to do. This Twitter user thought his mother was pulling his leg, but it turns out fans truly do have different settings for “winter” and “summer.”

We are not sure if there is a book that explains it, but most fans have a switch that will change the direction in which they circulate depending on whether you wish to move heat around or to create a cooling breeze. This is because hot air acts differently from cold air.
Mom tried to jump into the conversation with a joke but failed
Although moms make an effort to keep up with modern times, usually it proves to be too much for them. Generational or linguistic differences might limit their ability to keep up with their kid’s slang usage, but that does not mean they will stop trying to relate to them.

The poor woman believed she had finally managed to insert a cheeky comment into her children’s conversation, but she completely bungled the phrase. She meant to quote a line from Steve Carell’s character in the series The Office, but she got it so wrong that nobody understood her.
This woman's friends failed to contact her when she was ill
Some friendships last forever, but time and age can often lead to friends drifting away from each other. People change, move away, or even die. This means that we can feel more and more alone as we get older. Fortunately for this lady, she still had some friends left.

Unfortunately for her, they did not seem very interested in keeping in touch. Although perhaps they did not suck after all. If her friends were close to her in age, then maybe they did not contact her because contemporary communication devices had them a bit confused.
This mom had trouble pronouncing the gym's name
Like dads, moms are sometimes oblivious to pop culture or new trends like fancy gym franchises. If word pronunciations are not obvious, parents might expose their lack of knowledge about things that younger people usually take for granted.

Take this person’s mother, for example. She did not know the “LA” was spelled out instead of forming its own word. That information is pretty common knowledge for most people, but mom was out of the loop. Her child did not seem to mind it, though.
