Lamp Transmission Ceremony 2026

From 20 – 27 March, 2026, the international multifold sangha gathered in Plum Village, France for a Lamp Transmission Ceremony week.

With deep gratitude to the Buddha, our spiritual ancestors, and our beloved community, we convened to transmit and receive the 14 Mindfulness Trainings and the Dharma Lamp Transmission in a spirit of joy, peace, and harmony.

A total of 44 practitioners came together from around the world—Europe, North and South America, and Asia—for this great event to receive this transmission:

During the Dharma Lamp Transmission Ceremony, each practitioner offered their Insight Gatha—a short poem of wisdom from their own personal practice experience of transformation and healing—to our ancestral teachers and sangha. They then received a Transmission Gatha from our ancestral teachers to accompany them on their continued path of practice, as they go out into the world with their lamps to dispel the darkness and suffering of our times.

May this transmission support us on our path of insight, compassion, love, and service. May our practices shine as a light to help all those facing difficulties and challenges in our families, communities, societies, and the world.
