Macy’s hosts Thanksgiving parade and Green Wednesday brings pot sales: The Week Ahead

Nov. 24

Macy’s hosts its annual Thanksgiving Day Parade, which has been running since 1924. New floats this year will be from Toys “R” Us (which now hosts shop-in-shops within Macy’s locations), Pinkfong Baby Shark and Wonder. Once again, NBC will be broadcasting its coverage of the parade starting at 9 a.m. in all time zones.

Black Friday used to officially kick off the holiday shopping season, but the day has lost relevance in recent years. This year, for example, Walmart is running special Monday sales promotions throughout November.
