As it continues to integrate more AI elements into virtually every aspect of its systems, Meta has provided an update on how its AI tools are helping advertisers improve campaign performance, while also highlighting its latest “Advantage+ Creative” AI ad options.

Advantage+ Creative enables Meta’s AI tools to generate multiple creative options for your campaigns, in order to reach different audiences with your content.

With Meta’s AI ad tools, you can now change the background of an image, adjust aspect ratios, revise ad copy, etc., making it easy to generate multiple versions of your promotions.

And those creative variations are driving results, with Meta noting that, on average, campaigns that utilize AI background image generation have resulted in an 11% higher click-through-rate.

Advantage+ Creative then enables Meta’s system to utilize these variations to expand what it displays to each individual user.

As explained by Meta:

In the past, advertisers relied heavily on targeting specific demographics, interests, and behaviors to reach their desired audience. However, with the rise of AI-enabled advertising tools, the focus has shifted from niche targeting to creative diversification as the best lever to find the most relevant audiences. By uploading multiple creatives with different themes and messages, businesses can leverage Meta’s AI to test and optimize their ads at scale. This unlocks new opportunities for reaching relevant customers and in some cases, even finding new audiences they might not have realized would be interested in their product.

The system uses Meta’s Andromeda AI ad targeting process to better personalize the ads that are shown to each user, by choosing from a range of creative variations.

So, easier ad creation, and improved targeting, aligned to each individual users’ preference.

Advertisers who adopted opportunity score recommendations saw a 5% median decrease in their cost per result. Meta says that for every dollar spent on its AI-enabled Advantage+ products, advertisers generate on average $4.52 in revenue for their businesses: “An increase of 22% compared to business as usual campaigns.” On average, advertisers are seeing 9% lower cost per action when using the new streamlined setup for Advantage+ sales campaigns.
