Mindshare names new North America CEO
Nancy Hall joins WPP’s Mindshare from IPG’s Matterkind.
Mindshare has named Nancy Hall its North America CEO, succeeding Amanda Richman, who left the WPP media agency in March.
Hall has been the U.S. CEO of Interpublic Group of Cos.’ Matterkind since May 2022.
At Mindshare, Hall will lead strategy and operations across the U.S. and Canada, which encompasses over 1,700 employees. She will report to Mindshare Global CEO Adam Gerhart and GroupM North America CEO Kirk McDonald.
Hall will start her new position in mid-June.
Prior to her time at Matterkind, Hall worked at Epsilon Conversant for 15 years, holding positions such as senior of VP sales and senior VP of travel solutions.
“Nancy brings a singular blend of vision, tenacity, and strategic acumen to her role as CEO of Mindshare North America,” McDonald said in a statement. “Her leadership is uniquely suited for this time of industry evolution, characterized by rapid technological advancements and the ever-changing dynamics of consumer engagement.”
Richman’s departure was seen as a “complete surprise,” according to multiple executives Ad Age spoke with in March. Richman’s exit came around the same time that Mindshare clients General Mills and Kimberly-Clark launched media reviews.
“This is a company that’s not afraid to take risks and make big moves when it comes to growing and transforming clients’ businesses, as well as their own,” Hall said in a statement. “At a time when brands need more diverse skillsets, more bespoke solutions, and partners who look beyond short-term metrics, I’m excited to come onboard.”
