Pata adds training roadshows to spotlight southeast Asia
Extra events to be held in London and Birmingham next month
The UK and Ireland branch of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (Pata) has added two new training roadshows to its line-up to showcase southeast Asian destinations.
On July 18, the Southeast Asia Roadshow will be at the Revolution Leadenhall in London. The following day (July 19), it will be at Revolucion de Cuba in Birmingham.
The roadshows will give travel agents the chance to learn from Pata’s partner hotels, tourist boards and tour operators via a series of speed-training sessions.
There is time during the evening for networking and further contracting discussions.
Both roadshows are aimed at product managers and frontline sales staff who want to meet Pata partners and discover new destinations and products in southeastern Asia.
Matt McCausland, account director for PATA UK & Ireland, said: “The Pata Southeast Asia Roadshow event will enable [agents] to network, learn and build connections with key hotels, tourist boards and products during a fun evening of speed-training sessions, food and drink, and, of course, most importantly, prizes.
“After the huge success of our Pata roadshows back in March we’re really looking forward to bringing the Southeast Asia Pata roadshow to London and Birmingham in July.”
Joining Pata at both events are the tourism boards of Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia, along with suppliers Hidden Doorways; Samujana, Thailand; Outrigger Resorts; Akorn DMC; and Pan Pacific Hotel Group
Prizes include resort stays and vouchers.
