It’s been estimated that 15%-20% of parents experience postpartum depression, anxiety and stress. Note that these are only the numbers of folks who have reported. The reality is these numbers can be rather larger than estimated. In understanding these statistics, we are going to discuss the signs and symptoms of postpartum depression, anxiety and stress and how we can seek help. Often experiencing this can feel isolating, overwhelming and anxiety inducing. We will talk about these common scenarios. It’s essential to know which thoughts are common scary thoughts and which thoughts are recommended to be supported with a medical professional.

She is also an author of a number of groundbreaking books. Karen is also the founder of The Postpartum Stress Center and The Karen Kleiman Training Center.

Karen Kleiman is a well-known international maternal mental-health expert, with over thirty-five years of experience. As an advocate and prolific author of numerous groundbreaking books on postpartum depression and anxiety, her work has had widespread appeal on the internet and within the mental health community for decades. In 1988, Karen founded The Postpartum Stress Center, a treatment and training facility for prenatal and postpartum depression and anxiety. In 2022 she founded The Karen Kleiman Training Center, LLC which is dedicated to the advancement of clinical expertise and therapeutic strategies for the treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
