Scenic Group adds cruise-only prices for all itineraries
Move is response to travel agent and client feedback
Scenic Group – which includes Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours and Emerald Cruises – has introduced ‘cruise only’ prices for itineraries across its global collection.
It said the move is in response to agent and customer feedback and will offer clients “more flexibility and more choice” when choosing their holiday.
The group operates river cruises in Europe and southeast Asia, and luxury yachts in the Caribbean, Mediterranean and Adriatic, North and South America, Australasia and polar regions.
Passengers and agents making bookings will still have the option to pay in full 10 months before travel to qualify for a free flight credit and can still opt to add pre- and post-cruise accommodation at an additional charge. Packages that include air fares are still available too.
Andrea Stafford, trade sales director for Scenic Group, said: “We have chosen to introduce cruise-only fares to simplify our prices and make agents’ lives easier.
“We wanted to offer agents a greater and more streamlined set of pricing options.
“We hope this will help drive sales and give agents the freedom to more personally tailor our holidays to their clients’ needs.”
She highlighted how the brand has seen increased awareness over the past month thanks to the launch of Scenic Eclipse II and the release of Maritime Masters on Discovery+, a documentary series about Scenic Eclipse.
To support the new pricing model, Scenic Group is offering dedicated marketing materials and training sessions for agents.
The brand also has an online training programme and River Rewards & More agent incentive scheme.
