What Happened in Severance Season 2, Episode 6?

At the beginning of “Attila,” Mark is reeling from the visions of Gemma he saw in the previous episode, and he speaks with Reghabi at home about the stages of grief. While he’s had to accept Gemma’s supposed death, he is also shaken after seeing absent wife in her Lumon form, Ms. Casey.

Later in the episode, Mark and Helly share a moment to discuss “sharing vessels,” as he puts it — a.k.a sleeping together. However, it dawns on Helly that Mark is actually referring to her outie, Helena, the conniving daughter of Lumon’s CEO. Helly, aware that she’s an innie, is trying to grapple with her outie’s full control over her body. Helena used Helly to get to Mark, and the latter tries to help him understand that he’s also been victimized by Helena.

Is There a Season 3 of Severance?

Apple TV+ has not formally announced a renewal of Severance, but Ben Stiller told The Hollywood Reporter that a writers room was underway in Los Angeles in February 2025. While a season 3 premiere date hasn’t been penciled in yet, Ben — the director and executive producer — noted he doesn’t want to keep audiences waiting another three years for a new season.

“Everything changed a lot after the [WGA and SAG-AFTRA] strike, for everyone, in terms of the way people are looking at budgets and spending,” the Night at the Museum actor told the publication. “To Apple’s credit, they stayed on track with what the show was, and they’ve supported it.”
