Sharon Horgan’s “Bad Sisters” Renewed for Season 2 at Apple TV+

"Bad Sisters"

We haven’t seen the last of the Garvey sisters. Apple TV+ has given a green light to a second season of “Bad Sisters,” Sharon Horgan’s dark comedy about five sisters who are suspected of being involved with their brother-in-law’s death. Deadline confirmed the news.

“If you’d have told me three years ago that I’d be making a series about five murderous sisters chasing a man around Ireland trying to kill him, I’d have said, ‘Yeah, that sounds about right,’” said Horgan. “The response to our show had been beyond what we could have hoped for. It gave us the opportunity to shine a light on stories that don’t always get such a global platform. I look forward to getting chilly in the Irish Sea one more time.”

Horgan is among the murder-mystery’s exec producers and co-stars with Anne-Marie Duff (“Sex Education”), Eva Birthistle (“The Last Kingdom”), Sarah Greene (“Normal People”), and Eve Hewson (“Behind Her Eyes”).

In 2016, Horgan and her “Catastrophe” co-creator and co-star Rob Delaney received an Emmy nod for their writing on the Channel 4 comedy about a hookup that leads to parenthood. Her other credits include “Divorce” and “Motherland.”
