Silversea achieves record-breaking sales week in UK
Cruise line celebrates best performance in its history
Silversea has reported that it has achieved its record-breaking sales week in the UK during this wave period.
Peter Shanks, the line’s managing director for the UK, Ireland, the Middle East and Africa, said new heights were hit in the week from Monday, February 19 – Sunday, February 25.
“It was a fantastic week,” said Shanks, adding: “We’ve seen demand grow steadily since Christmas and it’s really encouraging.”
Shanks paid credit to members of the line’s advocate programme during the annual ‘thank you’ lunch on Wednesday.
He told guests: “We can’t fill our ships without your support.”
The recognition programme, launched in 2016, sees 10 ‘advocates’ crowned every month of the year. They are chosen for their work in supporting Silversea, with contributions ranging from strong sales performance to successful customer service skills.
“When somebody really steps up to help us, the advocate scheme gives them recognition,” said Shanks.
Each advocate receives a plaque as well as £100 worth of rewards.
