Simpson Travel expands trade team and introduces agent phone line

Simpson Travel has bolstered its team with a new trade sales specialist and introduced a dedicated phone number for travel agents.

The operator, which specialises in villas and boutique hotels, has appointed David Conitzer as trade sales specialist.

Conitzer joined Simpson Travel in September 2019 as sales consultant and has been in the industry for nearly a decade, having worked as a ski travel agent and for Club Med.

The trade sales team is now made up of three staff, up from two previously. Hannah Naylor-Vane is head of trade sales and Daniel Conitzer, David’s brother, is trade sales executive.

Naylor-Vane said: “We are delighted to welcome David to the trade team.  As a family business, it is quite appropriate that he will be joining his brother!  We are seeing greatly increased interest from agents in our villas and boutique hotels, so it’s fantastic to be expanding the team.”

She added: “David brings with him excellent product and destination knowledge – having visited the majority of our Simpson destinations.  To have someone on board who has visited so many properties and can literally talk through individual villas and hotels room-by-room will be a great asset.”

The operator has also installed a trade-only sales line in response to growing demand from travel agents.
