Sri Lanka drops Covid-19 entry requirements
Arrivals do not need tests or proof of jabs

The government of Sri Lanka has dropped its Covid-19 restrictions for arrivals from overseas.
Travellers are no longer required to produce Covid-19 vaccination certificates or negative test results.
However, the announcement from the health department added: “If foreign nationals/tourists become Covid-19 positive after arriving to Sri Lanka, they should isolate for seven days in a private hospital/hotel/place of residence.
“The cost of treatment/isolation should be borne by foreign nationals/tourists.”
The UK Foreign Office has updated its advice for Sri Lanka to reflect the change but added: “On 17 June, the Government of Sri Lanka announced that Covid-19 travel insurance is no longer mandatory for all visitors. However, it is important to ensure you take out comprehensive travel insurance before you travel abroad.”
All visitors are advised to apply online for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) to enter Sri Lanka.
On-arrival visa facilities are available but the FCDO advises applying for an ETA before travel “for ease of travel and to prevent delays on arrival”.
