Starting this year, Apple will no longer make their signature leather cases for iPhones. Instead, the company launched a fabric-based alternative called FineWoven. These cases still cost $59, and based on reviews, they range from
“okay,” to “terrible.” The new materials doesn’t hold up against even minor scratches, and feel nowhere near as good as a premium leather case does.

Thankfully, many suitable alternatives exist. If you bought a new iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro, and you want to protect that new titanium material with premium cases, we’ve got your back.

Nomad

Nomad’s Modern Leather case, made using Horween leather, is now a classic. It’s an exceptionally well-made case, using minimally treated leather sourced from the USA. The case comes with drop protection up to eight feet, aluminum buttons, and is compatible with MagSafe. It’s available in two colors, Black and Rustic Brown, both of which will develop a natural patina after long-term use.

The Horween Leather cases costs $70, but Nomad also has a $50 option made from sustainably sourced leather. Plus, the $50 version adds a new color option called English Tan. Both cases also come in a folio style, if that’s your thing.

Mujjo

Mujjo’s leather cases start at $49 for the iPhone 15 models, and are available in various finishes, colors, and styles. You can choose from the regular leather case, but there’s also options for a wallet case and a shield case. Mujjo offers four different colors: Black, Dark Tan, Monaco Blue, and Burgundy, but not all cases come in all four colors.

The cases are made using long-lasting premium leather from the Netherlands in Europe. The buttons are made using recycled material, and the case provides a raised leather lip to protect the cameras.

Caudabe

Caudabe specializes in minimalist leather cases. There are no big bells and whistles here, but a reliable, stylish leather case goes a long way. I think their blue and purple leather cases look especially great on the iPhone 15.

Their Sheath series focuses on a lightweight design, and costs $40. Their Synthesis series comes with a hard-back shell with shock-absorbing polymer for just a dollar more. It’s the cheapest leather case on this list, so it’s the one to go for value.

Torro

Torro starts with a leather case, then adds features and a lot of stitching. They come in a couple of different styles. First, there’s the regular Bumper case with colored stitching at the edges. Then, there’s a vertical flipping leather case. And if you like bulky cases, you can pick up the horizontal flipping leather case, that also comes with a stand functionality. If you want to use your Titanium iPhone without a case for most of the time, you can also opt for their leather pouch.

Cases are available for all four models in the iPhone 15 lineup, and the prices start at $51. The wallet case comes in a variety of color options, including Tan, Red, Black, Brown, and there’s an option for different color stitching, as well.

Mous Black Leather Case

Mous doesn’t make a true leather case when compared to the options on this list, but that’s okay. Mous is known for building cases with drop protection in mind first: That’s why this case is only leather on the back, with protective material covering the rest. If you can let go of that full-leather feel for added shockproof protection, this might be a good compromise. Plus, it supports MagSafe charging.
