The Best Veterans Day Deals That Aren't Free Food

Veterans can get quite a few food-related deals on Veterans Day this Friday, but there are other, non-consumable discounts and freebies up for grabs, too. Here are a few places where vets can get discounts or special treatment in honor of the holiday. Just be sure to have your military ID or VA discount card on you.

Veterans Day retail discounts

Adidas gives vets and active-duty military members 40% on its website until November 12 this year.

In-store purchases at Bargain Hunt will be reduced by 15% for active-duty military members and vets from November 11 to 13.

You can save 20% on in-store Dollar General purchases if you’re a veteran, active-duty military member, or member of the National Guard and Reserve from November 10 through 13.

Fareway is offering 15% off to vets, active-duty military, and Reserve and Guard members on November 11, and Food Lion and Publix are giving 10% off on in-store purchases that day, too, for active-duty military and vets. (This one is sort of food-related, but you can get plenty of other stuff at the grocery store, too.)

Get a free Car Care Check and 10% of tires and services at Goodyear Auto Services and Just Tires if you’re active-duty or a veteran. You can schedule your appointments between November 10 and 14, then redeem the service until November 17.

Vets, active and former military personnel, and their immediate families get 30% off in-store purchases at Kohl’s from November 11 to 13.

You’ll need this coupon and to be a vet active-duty personnel, a reservist, or a dependent of one to get 25% off at Office Depot and Office Max from November 11 through 13. Staples is also offering 25% off to active-duty members, reservists, and veterans, as well as their families, from November 6 to 12.

Take 20% off most Sleep Number 360 smart beds, bases, and bedding at Sleep Number from November 1 to 14 if you’re active-duty or a veteran.

Target’s 10% military discount runs from October 30 to November 12 and is available to active-duty military personnel, vets, and their families. It works online and in-store and can be applied to two separate transactions.

Tractor Supply is offering a 15% discount to active-duty military members, veterans, and their dependents on November 11.

Veterans can get 25% off their in-store purchases at Vitamin Shoppe and Super Supplements from November 10 to 13.

Walgreens and Duane Reade are offering 20% off eligible items from November 11 to 14 if you’re active-duty, a veteran, or a family member of one.

Veterans Day personal care discounts

AARP is offering discounted membership to veterans, who can join for $9 a year with a five-year term or $12 for a one-year term. Here are the details.

Great Clips is offering a free haircut (or free haircut card) to any veterans or active service members on November 11. (Non-military customers can also grab a free haircut card to give to active-duty or veteran pals that day. The cards are redeemable November 12 through December 9.) Sport Clips is also giving free haircuts to vets and active-duty service members on November 11.

Veterans, active-duty military, and family members can work out for free at Crunch Fitness from November 7 to 13.

Veterans Day entertainment and travel discounts

Paramount+ is offering all new subscribers 30 free days if you use the promo code BRAVO, and this coincides with the launch of “Home of the Brave,” a selection of titles on the homepage that honor military members.

Hertz is giving veterans 20% off their base rental rate on anything booked between November 7 and 11 and picked up from November 11 to January 31, 2023.

Caesars Entertainment is giving veterans and active-duty military 40% off room rates if you reserve your room from November 7 to 13. The room reservation can be for any time from now through 2023.

La Quinta by Wyndham is offering 12% off their Best Available Rate to eligible military members.

Members of the military and veterans can get 15% off of bookings and stays at Red Roof from November 1 to December 30. Use code VP 623095.
