THE LIGHTS SHINE ON THE 2ND ANNIVERSARY OF THE MALAGA TEMPLE
KMC Spain celebrated the second anniversary of the opening of Kadampa Temple for World Peace in Malaga on the 8th of June, continuing a tradition created last year. It was a great success with around 200 people from the local population attending, some of whom knew the Temple and some of whom came for the first time, receiving very meaningful impressions.
As people arrived they were offered lemonade and then given a free tour of the whole site, followed by a guided tour of the Temple where the symbolism was explained. There was also time to relax, enjoy the Peace Cafe, for children's activities, and then the long-awaited public talk by Gen Kelsang Chokga, Resident Teacher and National Spiritual Director of Spain.
The day concluded with a raffle and, at nightfall, the lighting of the Temple. It was wonderful to see everyone, including the children, looking at the brightly lit Temple, marvelling, taking pictures to capture the magic of the moment and grateful for the evening they had spent there, an evening that will undoubtedly remain engraved in their hearts.
