The TCL 98QM7K is currently selling for $1,997.99, down from its regular $2,999.99 price and the lowest price recorded so far, according to price trackers. The QM7K has earned strong reviews, including an "Excellent" rating from PCMag, and our own testing of the smaller 65-inch model left a favorable impression as well. Now, as for the TV itself, it uses a Mini-LED backlight with full-array local dimming and supports major HDR formats, delivering the kind of brightness and contrast that helps large screens hold up in real-world living rooms—meaning, whether you're watching sports during the day or a movie at night, this TV has enough brightness to cut through ambient light while still maintaining solid black levels. The picture tends to run slightly warm out of the box, so you may want to spend a few minutes adjusting settings.
