Tipto beats previous fundraising total for Reuben’s Retreat
Trade marketing body raises record £6k for chosen charity
Tipto has beaten last year’s fundraising total for charity partner Reuben’s Retreat with a record donation of more than £6,000.
The trade marketing body has raised £6,355 over the last 12 months through a variety of charitable efforts by the Tipto team, its supplier members and its agents, who donated at raffles held at its roadshows and SuperShows nationwide and through its text donation service.
The amount tops last year’s fundraising total of £4,500, and brings the total collected for Reuben’s since it began supporting the charity in 2012 to more than £28,000.
Reuben’s Retreat founder Nicola Graham said the donation would help the charity continue its work to support families who have lost a child or face an uncertain future, with a child or children living with complex medical needs.
She said: “Tipto’s ongoing fundraising support is invaluable to us. Year on year Tipto suppliers and its agent community give generously, with every penny raised supporting the vital work we do with our beneficiary families.
“We invest and spend every penny with integrity, supporting each family with bespoke and tailor-made offerings. Each is unique on their journey, trusting us to walk with them for as long as they need us. Those supporting us through Tipto allow us to be able to do this for them. Thank you Tipto.”
Tipto chairman Nick Hughes said the organisation, which raised the monies in its 25th year, was honoured to continue its support of Reuben’s and the care it provides for families in need.
He said: “Our dedicated fundraising efforts continue at a pace, and we are always so thankful for the support our agent community provides for such a worthy charity.
“Reuben’s Retreat is a charity close to Tipto’s heart and every team member and agent we’ve hosted this year has played an integral part in raising such a fantastic sum.”
The charity is currently supporting 697 individuals and all of the funds raised will be used to support these families, including the provision of 15 initiatives, seasonal events, bespoke activities and tailored one to one support. The monies will also help the retreat complete the final stages of its build project to construct four on site suites for families to holiday together and create precious memories.
