Tui ramps up Easter capacity from Manchester and Gatwick

Tui has boosted capacity to Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Turkey from Manchester and Gatwick starting from April.

Additions mean the operator’s programme will include more than 870 flights to 35 destinations this Easter.

An extra weekly flight from Manchester to Cancun will begin from April 3 and one from Gatwick follows on April 6 meaning Tui will operate 17 flights per week to its top long-haul sun destination, Mexico.

Dominican Republic, Tui’s second most-popular long-haul sun route, will gain an extra weekly flight from Manchester to Punta Cana from April 3. That takes Tui’s weekly Dom Rep flights to eight over the Easter and summer.

Two extra weekly flights from Manchester to Antalya will operate from the first week of April, bringing Tui’s Turkey programme to 13 weekly flights over Easter. This will ramp up to 22 weekly flights to Turkey in May, and 47 in June.

Richard Sofer, Tui’s commercial and business development director, said: “We’re seeing strong demand for family packages this Easter.

“There has been a general uptick for long haul across the year and Easter bookings for Mexico and Dominican Republic are back to pre-covid levels.

“Destinations nearer home are also looking positive as easier entry for teenagers and some great value offers, particularly in Turkey, unleash pent-up demand.

“After being denied the opportunity to spend precious time on holiday for so long, we want to offer as much choice and flexibility as possible for families looking for a much-needed overseas break.”
