Travel Counsellors appoints Dragons’ Den star to entrepreneurship role
Businesswoman known for appearing on BBC’s Dragons Den TV show

Travel Counsellors has appointed entrepreneur and businesswoman Sara Davies as the agency’s first growth and entrepreneurship partner.
In this new role, she will provide tailored coaching on entrepreneurship to the company’s 2,100 agents, as well as prospective franchisees.
Having started her crafts business in her university bedroom, Davies went on to build a business with a turnover of $34 million a year.
Last week, she announced that she will step away from filming TV show Dragons’ Den for the rest of this year to focus on her own business, Crafter’s Companion.
Davies became the youngest ever female Dragon when she joined the series aged 35 in 2019.
For Travel Counsellors, she will host webinars and exclusive in-person events, offering mentorship, training and guidance to help agents to launch and develop their businesses.

The webinars will be split into two separate series. The first programme, ‘Go Beyond’, starting in March, will be a masterclass series designed to equip existing travel counsellors with strategies and tools to help them build their businesses.
The second series, ‘Take the leap’ is aimed at entrepreneurs looking to start a new business and become a franchisee with Travel Counsellors.
She will advise on building confidence, planning for success and implementing key strategies.
Davies said: “Helping ambitious entrepreneurs build and grow their business is incredibly important to me.
“Being a Travel Counsellors customer myself, I’ve seen first-hand the dedication, passion and support that defines this business.
“It’s truly inspiring to witness how they uplift one another to achieve success, and I look forward to sharing my life lessons and perspectives on entrepreneurship.”
Steve Byrne, chief executive at Travel Counsellors, added: “We’re so pleased to be welcoming Sara as our first-ever growth and entrepreneurship partner.
“Her track record as an entrepreneur, coupled with her passion for empowering others with energy, positivity and authenticity, makes her the perfect fit for our community.
“At Travel Counsellors, we’re committed to providing the best inspiration, support, technology and tools to help our business owners thrive, enabling them to deliver exceptional experiences for their customers and clients.
“This partnership with Sara is a key part of that mission, and we know that her insight and experience will be invaluable in helping our Travel Counsellors achieve success for their business on their own terms.”
This announcement follows the company’s ongoing partnership with Davies, which has included her involvement in a previous social campaign and speaking at their annual conference for the past two years.
