Uber for Business, ride-hailing company Uber’s division for corporate clients, now includes sustainability metrics in its clients dashboard, the company announced Monday.
The new dashboard metrics allow a view of low-emission trips taken using Uber Green, Uber Comfort Electric and Uber Planet where available, as well as the low-emission trip percentage of total rides. In addition, clients can see total greenhouse gas emissions in kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent across all rides used in a given timeframe, the average gCO2 emissions per mile and a graph of total emissions by average gCO2 per mile, according to the company.
Uber for Business launched the sustainability data after conducting a pilot with a “select group of businesses across a range of sectors.” Carbon-emissions tracking capability has become a top request of Uber for Business clients, according to the company.
