United to Add CTM's Veloso to Sales Team
United Airlines has hired former CTM North America executive Tiago Veloso as managing director of agency sales and strategy, BTN has learned.

Tiago Veloso United Airlines has hired former CTM North America executive Tiago Veloso as managing director of agency sales and strategy, BTN has learned. His appointment is effective Oct. 24, and he will report directly to SVP of worldwide sales Doreen Burse.
Veloso succeeds Joe Tibble, who recently departed United for TripActions.
Veloso will be responsible for leading a team focused on driving increased sales and share of business in the global, national, regional and leisure travel management company channels, according to an internal memo from Burse. He also will serve as a “key contributor and thought leader within the business travel and leisure industries.”
He most recently was SVP of supplier relations for CTM North America with core responsibilities across air and ground. Previously, Veloso was VP of cruise and tour at Flight Centre Travel Group responsible for the United States and Canadian markets.
