On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, a mid-air collision occurred between an American Airlines plane that departed from Kansas’ Eisenhower National Airport and an Army helicopter near Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington, D.C. While there were passengers on board, District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services Chief John Donnelly informed reporters that they “don’t believe there are any survivors.”
