All about the library! I’m a trustee of our teeny tiny little local library and we’re having our fundraising Pollinator Fair for our Pollinator Garden on Sept 17. Libraries do so much more than books now, although for me books are still the main deal. Just finished Ann Patchett’s Tom Lake. Really good; as a Michigan girl familiar with the Traverse City area and an ex-performer it had a lot of resonance……

I’m in my engaged era! And fighting the urge to “Cool Girl” it by being blasé.
I waited 33 years, had to step out of fundamentalist religion, deconstruct my thoughts on relationship & gender roles (and embarrassingly – my purview of *who* I thought could get married), realize I hadn’t wanted kids because I didn’t want to raise anyone in my former environment and now I *do* want them since we’ll do a working-mom-stay-at-home-dad model, accept the duality of my newfound queerness in conjunction with my partner and I appearing hetero-normative… this step is a culmination of a lot of inner work that brought us together. Good days. :)

Mid midlife divorce, I am Library Holds, Pure Survival (no wee ones in sight, just me), and Laying on Floor Prone with a WTF though balloon floating above.

Oh wow. This is spot on. I’m about to turn 38. I lift twice a week, just downloaded the Merlin Bird app, and have three holds to pick up at the library. 😂 (Very glad to be out of my pure survival era!)
