Wizz Air Malta gains 50th aircraft
Budget carrier offshoot made first flight last September
The 50th aircraft has been delivered to Wizz Air’s Malta offshoot sent up just six months ago.
Wizz Air Malta operates 265 routes from Italy, Albania, Austria and Romania.
The new Airbus A321neo joining the fleet of the budget airline’s subsidiary will be based in Rome and operate on 77 routes from the Italian capital.
Wizz Air Malta was established as the fourth carrier within the Wizz Air Group alongside arms in the UK, Hungary and Air Abu Dhabi with its first flight in September 27 last year.
The airline has almost 1,500 employees and serves 96 airports in 36 countries.
