Zulu Alpha Kilo hires Jenny Glover as CCO in Toronto
Glover joins Stephanie Yung and Brian Murray in forming a leadership triumvirate at the office.
Zulu Alpha Kilo has hired Jenny Glover as chief creative officer in its Toronto office. Glover exits the same post at crosstown agency Juniper Park\TBWA.
Glover, who spent two decades at TBWA, much of that time in South Africa, will join Brian Murray and Stephanie Yung as creative leaders for the office. Murray was recently promoted to CCO as well, while Yung was promoted to chief design officer.
“I’ve also been following Zulu’s work for years and am eager to help us become the No. 1 creative company in the world,” Glover said. “I love ideas that push boundaries through innovation and new technology, which is why I’m so excited to be joining such a forward-thinking, highly creative agency.”
“From the moment we first started talking, Jenny and I were aligned on so many levels, from where we want to push the boundaries of Zulu’s work to the direction we believe the industry needs to move forward,” said agency founder Zak Mroueh, who has moved into the role of creative chairman. “She’s going to be an amazing addition and collaborator along with Stephanie and Brian.”
The agency, with offices in Toronto, Vancouver and New York, has been busy with creative moves recently. Last summer it hired Tim Gordon of Droga5 to be CCO at its newly opened NYC office. The first creative work out of that office was Booking.com’s Super Bowl campaign with Melissa McCarthy.
In her career, Glover has worked for clients such as Apple, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Visa, Virgin Air and PepsiCo. At Juniper Park\TBWA, her work included “Signal for Help” for the Canadian Women’s Foundation, which won Canada’s first Cannes Glass Lion.
Back in South Africa, Glover co-founded Open Chair, a gender equity initiative aimed at “filling chairs” with talented young women and putting the onus on leaders to offer opportunities to them.
