Abiding in the Middle Way at IKRC Grand Canyon

'The middle way' is a term applied to ultimate truth emptiness. By listening to Buddha's teachings on the middle way and taking them to heart in meditation we can completely purify our mind and attain the deep peace and happiness of enlightenment.

How wonderful, then, that 300 people in-person and online had the great good fortune to listen to such teachings this weekend from Gen-la Khyenrab and engage in retreat guided by him at IKRC Grand Canyon! The teaching was on Saturday, NKT Day, and the retreat over the following days.

Shantideva's Guide
Gen-la, who is a retired General Spiritual Director and presently National Spiritual Director of Canada, taught from the ninth chapter of Shantideva's Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life based on the commentary by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, Meaningful to Behold. This chapter includes a profound yet practical teaching on the middle way.

"What a precious and auspicious event! Thank you Gen-la for your wisdom, compassion and great kindness."
