ASUS M’sia launches new ExpertBooks with business-savvy AI tools, here’s what they can do

ASUS Malaysia has announced new ExpertBook laptop models, the P1 and P5, earlier this week.

If you’re in the market for a new laptop, especially for business or work purposes, here’s everything you need to know.

Expertbook P1: For budget-conscious professionals

With starting prices of RM3,799, the ExpertBook P1403 and P1503 laptop models is targeted more towards administrators and budget-conscious professionals.

Portable and durable, these laptops clock in at 1.4kg. While not the lightest offerings in the market, they do come equipped with military-grade durability to ensure the laptop remains safe even while on the go.

Staying up to par with the current era of laptops, these devices come powered with the exclusive ASUS AI ExpertMeet tool, designed to eliminate language barriers, summarise discussions, and identify speakers and seamlessly.

Specifically, ExpertMeet has an AI Meeting Minutes feature that assists with extracting the most important details from meetings. This way, you can focus entirely on the conversation without the need to manually take notes during or after calls. 

After a call is completed, AI ExpertMeet can apply speech-to-text transcriptions with unique speaker IDs. AI ExpertMeet also enables users to enhance their presence in video conferences by displaying a business card as a watermark.  

All these features explain why the ExpertBook P1 is a great partner for office professionals.

According to Microsoft, Copilot+ PCs are the “fastest, most intelligent Windows PCs ever built”.

These PCs have AI tools like Recall to help you find and remember what you have seen, generate and refine AI images in near real-time directly on the device using Cocreator, and bridge language barriers with Live Captions, translating audio from 40+ languages into English.  

Like the P1 laptops, it’s AI-powered with the ASUS AI ExpertMeet features.

Aside from all those cool AI features, the P5 models are equipped with the ASUS ExpertGuardian that involves commercial-grade BIOS, Windows 11 Secured-core PC tech, and complimentary three-year McAfee+ Premium membership.

It also has a three-year international warranty with local on-site servicing, a three-year battery warranty, and a first-year perfect warranty.

On top of that, all ASUS ExpertBook P5 owners enjoy ASUS Business Support, a comprehensive service package that includes on-site repairs, dedicated technical assistance, and 24/7 customer support.

Priced at RM6,859, this laptop is very lightweight at 1.27kg. It has an all-aluminium construction that provides aesthetics and ergonomics while meeting US military-grade durability standards.

In this day and age, many of us need to use laptops for work to a certain extent. And since many of us have also been incorporating AI capabilities into our day-to-day, it makes sense that we’d want our laptops to come pre-built with those features.
