Atas plans destination showcase with Visit Portugal

The Association of Touring and Adventure Suppliers (Atas) will host a Portugal destination showcase in April to help agents learn more about the destination.

The event will be held in Oxford on April 29, in partnership with Atas associate member Visit Portugal.

It is free for travel agents to attend and will include presentations from key Portuguese regions, focusing on touring and adventure opportunities.

There will be pre-scheduled meetings with a selection of product partners and the chance to network during curated experiences, wine tasting and a lunch featuring Portuguese cuisine.

Claire Brighton, Atas director, said the idea for a one-day event emerged after the success of evening showcase events during the association’s annual conferences.
“This is the first time we have done a standalone destination showcase with a tourist board partner,” she added.

“As with the events we held with destinations during our conferences, this will be entertaining and engaging – but also offer plenty of opportunities to learn about Portugal’s touring and adventure products in more detail.

“I’m looking forward to meeting agents and the tourist board in April for an enjoyable and interesting immersion in Portuguese tourism.”
